Name: His real name is unknown, though he has called himself Janitor, Josh, Captain Billy Stinkwater, and Dr. Jan Itor.
Age: 47
What show he is from: Scrubs
What is your character's appearance?:
Personality: The Janitor's personality is quite an enigma, given his tendency to lie- which may be the only consistent aspect of his life. However, he lies so much that people who know him can't be sure when he is telling the truth. Even though he has a janitorial job, Janitor is extremely intelligent- knowing four languages as well as American Sign Language. Though, he ocassionally pretends to be less intelligent than he actually is. Well respected among hospital staff, this is usually because he may intimidate or threaten other people and they respect him out of fear.
He hardly ever does any acutal work, though he does take pride in the cleanliness of the hospital and defends his sanitary responsibility whenever someone insults him about it. He occasionally pretends to be a doctor (Dr. Jan Itor) and is even often mistaken for one.
Despite usually being somewhat cruel or what other people percieve as insane, he does have a softer side that he shows to people who he truly cares about or feels sympathy or pity towards. He may also have low self esteem, which may be why he likes to torment others and has such a low-level job.
Bio: Not much is known about the Janitor's past, as he lies so frequently. As a child, his parents were mildly abusive, and his father treated him more like a drill sargeant would a new recruit. He attended either Yale or Harvard, though which one isn't clear and in the said collage was a world class hurdler at nearly world record pace. Also, he took part in the movie "The Fugitive" and may have had a baby with a woman in China.
In the show, Janitor has an ongoing grudge towards J.D. because in the pilot episode, J.D. sees Janitor fixing a door that is stuck and suggets someone might have stuck a penny in the door. The Janitor replies with "Why a penny? Did you stick a penny in there?", assuming that J.D. stuck a penny in the door- thus spending the majority of the series tormenting J.D. Because of his practical jokes, he was fired by the new Chief of Medicine, but of course was re-hired because of his motto "Good things always happen to me."
Likes: Tormenting J.D., lying, joking, clean floors.
Dislikes: J.D. and his friends, young punks/troublemakers, people who think he is stupid.
Strengths: His cleverness, sense of humor, and luck.
Weaknesses: His father's verbal abuse and tendency to fool around while on the job.
Roleplay Sample:
Stains.
He hated stains. It was a Friday afternoon at Sacred Heart and he was cleaning up some Kool-Aid Stain in the Pediatrics Ward. Little kids were messy. Lucky he didn't have one of his own. A yawn escaped him as he thought how to scare the little kids into not making anymore messes. The Stain Ghost wasn't working out so well...he had some "accidents" while sliding around on those roller skates with a sheet over his head. Once he had gotten the red liquid's mark from the tiled floor, he stood up, cracking his knuckles. Now he had more time to do...whatever it was he did around here.
Putting his mop back in the custodian's closet, the Janitor grabbed a set of small drums and sat outside the door. He began to play his bongos until one of the nurses looked at him strangely. "What?" He asked, as if it wasn't unusual to see the Janitor playing bongos in the hallway. "It's Friday. It's Bongo Day." The woman still stared at him. "Go on. Scram." Janitor said before going back to playing the instrument. He began to think more about how he could frighten the kids. "Wow. I really need a better hobby."
