-Typical, huh? Welcome. Well...we mean it. We've been expecting you here. Oh! I bet you're wondering where 'here' is, aren't you?
-'Here' is well, here. On an island town somewhere off the shore of Maine. Daydreams Island. We're quite an island, about the size of Ellis Island...actually, we're bigger than that...we're big enough to have a flourishing city, that's for sure.
Bet you're wondering why I'm talking to you.
-The thing is, as I said, we've been expecting you. You're the new person in town, right? Well, we're here to welcome you, with the open arms and all that good stuff!
-Your house is waiting, the vacant one that you wanted! It's just waiting for you to turn the key and move on in! Honestly, you didn't think you were going to have to go house shopping again, did you?
-The mall's just around the corner from the shoe store on the right. Though you don't have to go there to shop. There are a ton of local businesses to go to!
-Like the Candy Shoppe on Main Street, or the Soda Fountain just down the street! Both were recently refurbished and given that old-fashioned fifties feel.
"Fifties? Are you kidding me?"
-Not at all. Here on our little island town we like the feel of our fifties places. To tell the truth, the younger of our citizens love it.
-We're even starting to have Greasers start popping up again for the first time in fifty years. Don't be afraid of 'em. They don't cause much trouble, well, yet.
A few more things.
-The thing about our town is that...well, there's a shady part. It's on the other side of the island from you, don't worry! But I'd just be certain to stay away from that part if I were you.
-Another thing. We get real festive during holidays like the Fourth of July and such. Don't be afraid to join in, though!
-The high schools have a little bit of a rivalry. Okay, not little. Its more more like the Capulets and the Montagues from "Romeo and Juliet". One high school, Riverside East High School, is known for their baseball and soccer awards. While the other, Coastal Ridge High, is known for soccer and basketball. They're pretty different, but very competitive.
-Don't hesitate to wander along the beaches, just don't feed the seagulls![/ul]
